Dianne Crowther
Picking up a brush in 1995, Dianne discovered a whole new world. Her long dormant ability to translate form and color rose to the surface. Spending the last nine years studying with Masters throughout the United States, Dianne, through hard work and dedication, received her Certified Decorative Artist Credential in 1999. In 2008 Dianne passed the final test to receive her Master Decorative Artist Credential, She passed her Still Life Test in 2002 and her Floral in 2003 and finally the stroke category in 2008
In December of 2004 one of Dianne's hand painted ornaments was chosen to be displayed on the Official National Christmas Tree that stood in the White House Blue Room. This ornament was then placed in the Smithsonian Institute.
Mrs. Bush received a painting of a Texas Bluebell from the artist to add to her collection in February 2005.
"Photography is an important part of my painting process." Dianne explains, "Most of the still life and florals I create are taken from images captured by my camera lens." Nature's beauty is a constant inspiration for creation.
When not in her studio Dianne is busy with several charities that are involved in raising money that can be used to make a difference in a childs life. This year Dianne will be the President of the Board of Directors of Childrens Fund that serves San Bernardino County, she will be the first woman in the history of the fund to hold this position. Dianne is the past president of 3 Charities and two painting groups. The Grandma of five keeps this gal busy.
